Responsibilities: In this role, the Associate Attorney will be expected to manage a full litigation docket with professionalism, initiative, and strategic focus. Core responsibilities include:

  • Effectively manage an assigned caseload, ensuring timely progression and strategic oversight
  • Conduct initial and ongoing client consultations, maintaining consistent and clear communication throughout the case lifecycle
  • Draft high-quality legal documents, including demand letters, pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses
  • Take and defend depositions in accordance with case strategy
  • Attend and conduct hearings, mediations, and other court-related proceedings
  • Perform legal research and draft memoranda to support case preparation and resolution
  • Collaborate with the legal team to develop and execute case strategies that drive results
  • Coordinate with paralegals and support staff to ensure organized, efficient case management
  • Participate actively in docket reviews and firm-wide meetings
  • Contribute to firm-wide development and operational initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a law firm environment
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Litigation and trial experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and task prioritization
  • Strong analytical and legal writing skills
  • Actively seeks and implements feedback and works well with a team
  • Good standing with the State Bar of Texas
  • Personal commitment to a balanced and healthy lifestyle
