We are immediately hiring CHHAs for one-on-one homecare BrightStar Care of Westfield & Summit is looking for reliable, dedicated and compassionate caregivers to join our team. Our wonderful elderly clients living in Union County need your help now! Before you apply, do you qualify? The following is required to work for us:

• Active NJ CHHA license
• Valid driver's license & reliable personal vehicle
• Up-to-Date Covid-19 Vaccination with 1 booster shot or religious or medical exemption
• Ability to pass a background check & drug screening
• Must be passionate about helping others and working with the elderly population
• At least 6 months of experience working as a caregiver

Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers
• Accompany clients to the grocery store, doctor appointments and pharmacy visits
• Assisting client with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing

Requirements:

• Valid New Jersey CHHA or CNA License in good standing
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid CPR Certificate or willing to get one
• Negative drug screen and clear background check
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
