Will consider Staff Services Analyst.

Under the direction of the Deputy Secretary for Legislation, the incumbent will  support legislative, policy and administrative operations by performing a wide range of analytical tasks and special assignments. These include policy and procedure development and revision, program and process reviews. The incumbent also performs duties having a high degree of responsibility, requiring independent action and providing consultative staff services to agency management staff.

Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Associate Governmental Program Analyst exam. Working Conditions

Position is located at 400 Capitol Mall, Suite 2340 Sacramento, Ca 95814

This position involves teleworking and reporting to the office as needed and/or required. The incumbent is required to comply with telework agreement policies and procedures.

While at their base of operation, employee will work in a climate-controlled office under artificial lighting.

Employee may be required to sit for long periods using a keyboard and video display terminal to review and access information.

New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Special Requirements

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

- Strong understanding of legislative processes, transportation policy, and intergovernmental affairs

- Skilled in preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations to support decision-making

- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills for summarizing legislation and coordinating across departments

- Experience working with executive staff, government agencies, and international partners

- Ability to manage multiple priorities, conduct research, and support special projects
