Job Description

Aboud Health Group (AHG) is a state-of-the-art family medicine and Walk in practice located in Mississauga, Ontario. At AHG, we are dedicated to providing quality, comprehensive care, and convenient walk-in services to our diverse patient community.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary: The Medical Receptionist is a crucial member of our practice, responsible for providing exceptional patient service, managing front-desk operations, scheduling appointments, and supporting our medical team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answering phone calls, scheduling, and confirming patient appointments
  • Registering patients and verifying demographic information
  • Coordinating patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times
  • Managing incoming and outgoing faxes, mail, and electronic communication
  • Ensuring patient confidentiality and handling medical records securely
  • Collecting payments and managing billing inquiries
  • Assisting with administrative tasks, including maintaining office supplies and inventory

What You Need:

  • Medical Office Assistant or Administration Certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a medical receptionist, ideally within primary care or family medicine
  • Strong familiarity with medical terminology and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience working in a medical clinic setting, preferably in primary care or similar
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
