Job Description

The Role:

The BC Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 NAV and Business Central environments. The role will work closely with functional consultants to understand business requirements, configure the system, develop custom solutions, and integrate Business Central with other enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Customization & Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom modules and extensions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 NAV and Business Central using both C/AL and AL programming language.
  • Customize standard NAV and Business Central functionality to meet specific business requirements.
  • Develop integrations between NAV and Business Central and third-party systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, payment gateways, etc.).
  • Implement workflow automation and business logic through C/AL and AL code.
• System Configuration & Implementation
  • Work with functional consultants to gather and translate business requirements into system configuration and development solutions.
  • Implement and maintain application interfaces and ensure seamless system integrations.
• Troubleshooting & Support
  • Identify and resolve system issues, bugs, and performance problems in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end users.
• Collaboration & Documentation
  • Work with cross-functional teams including functional consultants, and support managers to ensure successful system implementation and maintenance.
  • Create technical documentation for customizations, integrations, and configurations to ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Conduct system tests and ensure that solutions meet user acceptance criteria and business requirements.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of development experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and BC.
• Experience working with common third-party add-on solutions and their integration with Business Central. NAV/BC desired (for example: Lanham, ChargeLogic).
• Proficiency in C/AL and AL development language.
• Adept in navigating creative workarounds and circumventing technical issues.
• Exceptional collaborator with both strong written and verbal communication abilities.
