At Glanbia Inc., our portfolio centers around dairy and we have grown through acquisitions: With our colostrum plant in Ripon along with sites in AZ and SD, we now have over 40 years of bovine colostrum experience and a wealth of manufacturing knowledge and know-how under Glanbia Dairy Nutrition. Expect the same exceptional bovine colostrum production expertise and quality products.

We are hiring a Plant Manager for Ripon, CA. You will provide leadership where plant employees can improve and sustain a zero loss work culture that drives out injuries and ensures products are safe and meet quality specifications. You will manage a plant operation ensuring budget, output, and continuous improvement by engaging all employees.

Responsibilities include: 

• Meet production goals which include such areas as yield, quality, and customer specifications. 
• Optimize production operations through the strategic management of personnel, operational and mechanical resources.
• Meet goals and budgets set by senior management.
• Analyze daily and weekly reports and in a timely manner and oversee resolution of issues.
• Ensure safety within day to day operations and minimize losses within the plant
• Ensure that daily reports of environmental compliance or issues are available
• Resolve customer complaints, concerns and demands.
• Organize the workflow of Production Managers and Team Leaders to direct their short and long-term development.
• Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Identify training needs and conduct training when necessary.
• Utilizes GPS processes, driving zero losses and upholds the culture of Glanbia’s non-negotiables.
• Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinanc

Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Understanding of TPM and similar continuous improvement methodologies.
• Typical Physical Activity: Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Should be able to identify and distinguish colors, see clearly at 20 inches or closer and 20 feet or more, observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point, judge distances and spatial relationships, and adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
  • Typical Environmental Conditions: May be exposed to loud noise levels (i.e. manufacturing equipment). May be exposed to humidity, intense heat, and fumes and toxic chemicals. May work in areas with mechanical moving parts, above ground with risk of fall, or areas with risk of electrical shock.

This range may not be applicable to other locations.
