This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Cath Lab setting within a Level I trauma center and Magnet hospital. The RN will provide skilled nursing care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on interventional cardiac procedures. Responsibilities include circulating during procedures, monitoring patients, administering medications, and managing dysrhythmias. A minimum of one year of experience is required, and on-call responsibilities are expected.

Responsibilities:
- Circulate during cardiac catheterization procedures (diagnostic and interventional).
- Monitor patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including left and right heart catheterizations, and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring.
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
- Float to other areas within the Cath Lab as needed to meet facility needs.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois.
- Minimum one year of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
- Experience with adult diagnostic catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring.
- Proficiency in Cerner electronic health record system.
- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- More than one year of experience in an interventional cardiac cath lab.
Special Considerations:
- On-call responsibilities are required, as needed, with a rotating schedule.
- Willingness to float within the Cath Lab as needed.
- Schedule requests can be discussed with the manager.
- Maximum of 5 days of RTO restrictions.
- Guaranteed hours policy: Client may call off up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without penalty; additional call-offs will be billed. On-call shifts in lieu of call-offs count as called-off shifts.
- Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab experience is required.
Scheduling:
- 3 twelve-hour day shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM).
- Will work 2-3 weekends per contract.
- Schedule flexibility is preferred, with discussions regarding block scheduling possible.
