Job Title: Registered Nurse – Endoscopy

Duration: 13 weeks contract

Work Location: Syracuse, NY

Shift timing: Variable shift (Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts)

Requirement: RN license, BLS and Endoscopy experience

Job Description:

• Provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures.
• Perform accurate patient assessments and document findings in the EMR (EPIC experience preferred).
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses according to established protocols.
• Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• Provide recovery room care, including monitoring vital signs and post-procedure education.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment consistent with hospital policies.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and demonstrate sound clinical judgment in critical situations.
• Participate in on-call coverage for evenings, nights, and weekends as scheduled.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN License and Registration (must be active and in good standing).
• BLS certification required, with ability to maintain recertification.
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level as the hospital.
• Previous endoscopy and recovery room experience preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience strongly preferred.
