JOB PURPOSE The Senior Project Delivery (SPDE) role exists to manage the end-to-end delivery of site capital projects for our Hellman's Mayonnaise factory in Chicago. The projects will be based on a wide range of safety, quality, infrastructure, savings, and equipment improvements across many technologies and functional areas including process, packaging, utilities and land/buildings. SPDE will contribute in ongoing development and delivery of site investment masterplan and provide technical support to the day to day and reliability activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Organized and detail oriented to deliver projects respective safety, product quality, project timing, and cost. You will be supported by full-time and hired contractors to execute the projects. The Senior Project Delivery Engineer for process takes a leadership role over a portion of the capital project portfolio in the site. You're a born leader: Management of improvement projects in a fast-moving environment with many stakeholders requires the ability for independent decision making, constructive collaboration, managing expectations, and navigating tradeoffs for our customers (the factory). The position is responsible for cost estimating, analyzing options, building business cases, critiquing designs, managing construction, installation, commissioning, and handover with minimal supervision. As a member of management in a factory, you will be expected to lead other activities in our safety, quality, and continuous improvement programs. You are a site expert on food processing, packaging, and energy and utilities management. You're a change maker: Leads the standardization and development of the plant masterplan for packaging, process, grounds, and utilities. Technical resource to the category engineering team for new products and re-stages (innovation and renovation), and a resource for factory continuous improvement programs. You're a dot connector: Participates in cross-plant improvement teams. Develop strong partnership with plant manufacturing, continuous improvement, corporate engineering and union workforce. Supports root cause analysis for both manufacturing and reliability teams You're a culture and change champion: You bring new Ways of Working to the Engineering community in our continued pursuit of excellence in change management, early equipment management, and vertical startup. You execute projects by delivering the best Value without compromising any Values. You are a leader in this transformation. You love to win, and have fun doing it: On Time In Full (OTIF) end to end delivery of multiple capital projects (typical value $0.1m - 2 Million per project) adhering to Unilever project management standards and ensuring safety as our number one priority. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree. Experience: 3+ Years of Engineering in FMCG / related Industry or gained in an engineering consultancy environment End-to-end project management/engineering, maintenance, or continuous improvement experience with food processing and/or utilities systems in manufacturing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; along with the ability to negotiate. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - First-hand experience delivering major capital projects ($2+ million) within FMCG environment - 5+ Years of Project Engineering in FMCG / related Industry or gained in an engineering consultancy environment. #WC123 Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120.
