Job Description

The Shop hand will assist in keeping an orderly shop area. This person is directly responsible for the cleaning, oiling, and maintaining of shop tools, machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, and equipment-in the shop. The shop employee will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the shop tasks required at the location in Carriere, MS. The McNeill shop supports the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) and Pacific job operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Cleans, oils, and maintains shop tools.
• Able to run pneumatic shop tools.
• 24hr callout of loading/unloading of trucks/deliveries.
• Operate forklift.
• Able to read OD tapes and calipers
• Sandblasts, and paints adapter spools and flanges. Handles customer complaints in a professional manner.
• Pack and unpack work boxes.
• Identify flange sizes.
• Sweep and clean shop area.
• Assists with training of less experienced shop hands.
• Perform other related functions as may be required. Works a 24 hour on call basis, 7 days a week, except for regularly scheduled days off and be available on short notice for performing regular work duties. 

Special Requirements:

• Valid State Driver’s license.
• Transportation Workers Identification Credentials (TWIC) 
• Class D License

Must be able to pass a drug screen and submit to random screenings.
