Statement of Qualifications Requirements

A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is Required. The SOQ serves as documentation of each candidate’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing.

The SOQ will be considered the first phase of the hiring process for this position. If your qualifications are competitive, you will be invited to an interview. The SOQ should be typed and not more than two pages in length, not less than 12 point font, single-spaced, with margins not less than one inch, including your first and last name at the top of the page.

The SOQ should be numbered and completed in the exact order the following questions are presented:

1. Describe your knowledge and experience with business processes or policies of a state or federal eligibility entitlement program. Please explain how you will bring your experience and expertise to this position as it relates to this specific duty statement and desirable qualifications.

2. Provide a specific example of an occasion when you made a data-driven, work-related decision. Describe why you believe it is important to make data-driven decisions in the work environment.

3. Describe your approach to ensuring accuracy and timeliness for a completed assignment. Provide a specific example of the completed assignment and how you ensured accuracy and timeliness were achieved.  

4. Describe your experience in collaborating with internal or external stakeholders. Provide a specific example, detailing the nature of the collaboration, your role in delegating responsibilities, and how you measured your success.
