Description Job Title: Videographer Department: Marketing & Communications Reports To: Asst. Director of Communications Pay Range: $50,000-$55,000 salaried Overview The Videographer will play a pivotal role at Newfields, producing high-quality visual content that effectively communicates our brand and engages our audience in a multitude of ways. This individual will be responsible for capturing stunning footage, editing compelling videos, and creating innovative storytelling pieces for museum guests, marketing videos, stewardship cultivation, and much more.
Primary Responsibilities The following responsibilities describe the general nature of work for employees in this position, but this is not intended as an exclusive or all-inclusive inventory.
Key Responsibilities - Video & Content Creation: Plan, produce, and edit a wide range of video content including advertisements, promotional materials, event coverage, educational content, and social media videos. Lead major long-form projects from concept to completion.
- Creative Storytelling: Generate original concepts that effectively convey the organization’s message,
using strong narrative techniques and visual storytelling.
- Production & Technical Execution: Operate cameras, manage lighting and audio equipment, and execute shoots with a high degree of technical proficiency. Ensure smooth post-production workflows with minimal oversight.
- Animation & Motion Graphics: Apply foundational animation skills to enhance video content as needed, using appropriate software and techniques.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally with the Marketing team and other departments to align video projects with organizational goals. Represent the team in internal and external meetings, including the Marketing & Sustainability Committee.
- Project & Time Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities—sometimes requiring night or weekend work to capture timely content.
- Creative Initiative: Proactively identify new opportunities and propose fresh video concepts to elevate brand storytelling and support strategic objectives.

Required Skills - Video Production Expertise: Advanced knowledge in video production processes, including camera operation, lighting, sound, and editing.
- Editing & Technical Tools: Proficient in video editing and animation software, with a strong understanding of visual and audio post-production.

- Professional Tools Proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Initiative & Reliability: Able to anticipate team needs, work independently, and maintain accountability under minimal supervision.
Education And/Or Experience - Bachelor’s degree in film, Television, Video Production, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in video production, with a focus on [tourism, documentaries, corporate videos, social media content, and more].
- A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional video production skills and storytelling abilities.
- Experience working with donors and Board members is a plus.
- Interest in museums and gardens is preferred
