Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Location: Morrison, Illinois 61270
Shift Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 days per week
Duration: 12 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay Range: $45/hr - $53 per hour on a W2

Responsibilities:
Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of the laboratory manager or medical technologist.
Collect, prepare, and process specimens for analysis, including blood draws (phlebotomy).
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
Accurately record and report laboratory results in a timely manner.
Follow all laboratory safety and infection control protocols.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory work area.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure accurate and efficient patient care.
Adhere to quality control procedures and regulatory compliance standards.

Skills/Experience Needed:
Minimum 2 years of experience as an MLT, with phlebotomy experience required.
Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently during night shifts.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work a rotating or fixed night shift schedule.

Education:
Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field – Required.

Certifications:
Active Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification – Required.
Phlebotomy certification or documented experience – Required.
COVID-19 Vaccination – Required per facility policy (Medical and religious exemptions accepted).
