Pay: $60,000 - 90000/year + Benefits

Schedule: Monday - Friday

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager with a strong background in overseeing production, ensuring on-time delivery, and managing various production departments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the smooth operation of multiple departments, ensuring safety, quality, and cost standards are met while managing a team and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• The production and on-time delivery of products to cost and quality standards
• Operations oversight of the facility and all production departments including; Extrusion, Converting, Printing, Purchasing, Pre-Production, Shipping & Receiving, and Maintenance
• Manage 7 direct reports and approx. 30 indirect reports
• Assist in the development and introduction of new products
• Train employees
• Determine the daily and weekly staffing levels necessary to meet production requirements
• Ensure safety of personnel
• Mentor, motivate and directly manage supervisors, maintenance, purchasing and pre-production
• Oversee daily processes to insure high levels of communication and alignment between all key members of the business
• Review and fully implement key/critical processes to improve flow, cost, and product quality
• Renovate, replace and/or maintain all equipment and facilities
• Participate in the research, acquisition, and installation of new equipment as needed to improve product cost and quality
• Maintain a safe, clean and orderly manufacturing environment
• Maintain all requirements of the GFSI certification
• Manage the requirements of numerous regulatory agencies including: AQMD, fire department, storm water, OSHA, DMV, etc.
• Measuring and achieving production, safety and cost goals
• Monitor and meet quality standards
• Maintain accuracy of on-hand inventory of raw materials and finished goods

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in manufacturing
• High school diploma or higher, a must.
• Successful track record with LEAN manufacturing
• High mechanical aptitude and experience in machine-based operations
• Preferred Industries: Plastics packaging, printing, extrusion and/or converting, Roll-to-roll manufacturing, Full-line printing company, Printed corrugated packaging
• Demonstrated planning skills balanced with excellent execution
• Process planning skills
• Experience working with an ERP system
• Must have a hands-on management style
