As a Nonprofit Development Intern on SBP’s Development Team, you will play a vital, hands-on role in supporting donor engagement, stewardship, and fundraising initiatives that directly support SBP's impact in disaster recovery, including our continued work in the Gulf South. You will gain essential experience in nonprofit development and fundraising strategy while sharpening your professional writing, communication, and project management skills.
Throughout your internship, you will be deeply involved in donor stewardship efforts, supporting the execution of fundraising campaigns and communications, conducting prospect research, helping to maintain accurate donor records in SBP’s database, and collaborating closely with staff across the national Development team.
This is a perfect opportunity for those studying or passionate about nonprofit management, communications, or public policy to learn the inner workings of a high-impact national fundraising operation while contributing directly to local and national disaster recovery efforts.
SBP is a national social impact organization dedicated to helping communities shrink the time between disaster and recovery by rebuilding homes, increasing resilience, and improving policies to better serve all Americans. Learn more at
